Natalia Stubbs

Originally from Durango, Mexico, Natalia is a recent graduate from the University of British Columbia, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in History and Asian Area Studies. Her areas of interest mainly focus on exploring the many ways media can amplify silenced narratives and histories of revolutionary struggle against state violence. In particular, her research focuses on the role of visual culture in representing the gendered, haunting history of Mexico’s armed movements. In her free time, she enjoys watching films, spending time outdoors, and going to amazing concerts.
