Atena Abbaspourbenis

Atena is an Iranian-born settler finishing their Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Simon Fraser University. They’ve been writing for over a decade and believe in the power of storytelling to spark conversations and create change. Their interests include immigration policies, human rights, social justice, and understanding the role of women in nuclear security. When they’re not working on their third novel, Atena spends their time reading about global issues, running local trails, and exploring how personal stories intersect with larger political systems.
